Properties of the week – Bowls Cottage

The village of Lesbury stands midway between the historic town of Alnwick and the white-sand beach of Alnmouth. Bowls Cottage forms part of a Victorian terrace and has south-facing garden. Until now, it’s been run as a successful holiday let, popular among those exploring the historic land-marks of the Northumbrian coastline, including Lindisfarne Castle, once home to Country Life founder Edward Hudson, but the cottage could easily be turned into a permanent residence. The village boasts all the essentials, including a shop, post office and pub. Alnmouth station links to the East Coast mainline, providing access to Edinburgh and Newcastle.
